Crystal Thompson: Youth Leader
Kevin Johnson - Outreaches and Activities
Crystal is an ORU graduate and has been involved with youth facilitation for 3 years. She has ministered in a variety of venues including youth detention centers, homeless shelters and food banks, on Indian Reservations and to run away teens on the streets of Denver, Colorado. Her heart chases after God and cries out for Him to rescue this generation of youth and bring them into their destiny to set their world ablaze with the message of Christ.
Mark 16:17-18 is the passage of scripture that IGNITION activates in their lives “And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name, they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages. They will pick up serpents; and even if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.”
Ignition means: the act of setting on fire or catching fire. Lightning, kindling and inflammation.
Ignition is the training ground to raise up the youth of this world to hear the voice of God and ignite a passion to share the love of Jesus with their peers. They are taught and trained in the Word of God which is the solid foundation from which everything else flows. Their gifts and talents are stirred, released and brought forth. They learn how to use their gifts, not only individually, but as a team learning to flow and blend with others. Ignition is
a safe place where youth can come and share heart issues without fear of judgment or rejection. It is a family where everyone loves and embraces one another, helping each other go to the next level with Christ. Ignition is a family that supports one another united to spread the love of God to those without hope.
